Introduction
Since 2019, I have been working in the cosmetics and healthcare products industry, with responsibilities spanning product development, formulation, laboratory management, and regulatory affairs. My work involves supporting products throughout their development from defining the concept and product requirements, through raw material selection and formulation, to safety, regulatory considerations, and preparation for different markets.
My experience combines a background in chemistry and engineering with practical expertise in product development, regulatory affairs, safety assessment, and working with a wide range of raw materials. Alongside my work in industry, I also provide professional consulting to companies in the fields of product development, chemistry, and dietary supplements.
Product Development & Formulation
Product development begins with understanding the need, what the product is intended to do, who it is intended for, and what its technical and commercial requirements are. From there, a formulation can be developed and appropriate raw materials selected, taking into consideration stability, ingredient compatibility, quality, safety, cost, and manufacturability.
I work on the development and improvement of formulations for a range of products, including cosmetics such as creams, gels, ointments, and soaps, as well as other healthcare products and dietary supplements.
My experience allows me to work both with existing formulations that require improvement or adaptation and with products at the early stages of development.
Regulatory Affairs & Safety Assessment
Product development does not end with creating a formulation. Products intended for the market must meet the relevant regulatory and safety requirements of the markets in which they are intended to be sold.
As part of my professional work, I am involved in preparing product dossiers, regulatory documentation, safety assessments, and registration and approval processes with the relevant authorities. I also work on regulatory requirements and documentation for international markets.
In addition, I serve as a Responsible Person within my professional role in industry, giving me first-hand experience in connecting product development with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Dietary Supplements & Natural Products
Alongside my work in the cosmetics industry, I develop formulations for dietary supplements and products based on natural ingredients.
I advise companies on improving existing formulations, selecting raw materials, and developing new products. Medicinal mushrooms and herbal medicine are among the areas of specialized knowledge and experience that I bring to the development process, although my work is not limited to natural products.
My goal is to connect the selection of high-quality raw materials with an understanding of their properties and activity, formulation requirements, and the practical considerations involved in developing a high-quality, stable, and manufacturable product.
Professional Consulting
I provide professional consulting to companies, entrepreneurs, and businesses involved in product development in the fields of chemistry, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and natural products.
Consulting can be relevant at different stages of the process, from evaluating a product idea or existing formulation, through raw material selection and formulation improvement, to considerations related to safety, regulatory requirements, and the overall development process.
My approach is practical and based on hands-on industry experience, with the aim of helping turn an idea or identified need into a product that can be developed, manufactured, and brought to market.
Professional Experience
Since 2019, I have worked in the cosmetics and healthcare products industry in roles involving formulation, laboratory management, and regulatory affairs. My responsibilities include product development, laboratory processes, preparation of product dossiers, safety assessments, and regulatory requirements for both Israeli and international markets.
The manufacturing facility where I work operates according to GMP standards and exports its products to international markets, including Europe, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and more.
This experience allows me to view product development not only from the perspective of the formulation itself, but as part of a broader system involving raw materials, manufacturing, quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and market considerations.
